While I don't maintain stripShow for a living, I wouldn't say no to a little donation, if you think the plugin is worth it...

I'd love to see some way of handling alternate languages that you may want to have your comic in that could be easily switched between. I'm not sure what exactly the best way to handle this would be, from an administrative viewpoint but perhaps having some way to use either alternate folders for the different comic languages (that is, the primary language is …/stripshow_comic/ and the Spanish language is uploaded to /stripshow_comic_es/ or something like that.) The other option would be to maybe have it all go into the same upload folder, but it would then read the file names to get the right comic for the translation I've chosen. So if my primary site, in English, has a comic with a file name "comic_1234.png" then I could upload another file "comic_1234_es.png" for the Spanish language version, and if someone chose to view my site in Spanish, they would see that comic instead, because it has the _es following the file name.
Or perhaps there is some other, much simpler, and more elegant method of doing this.
At any rate, I'd love to see some kind of support for easily switching between multiple translations of a comic all from within one site.

That's a really good idea! stripShow is internationalized to support multiple languages on the back end, of course, but the actual comics are still image files.
My idea is to have a generic alternative comic structure — you could have comics in another language, or maybe different sizes of comic (like XKCD does).
I'll make that happen.

Cool.
That kind of goes hand-in-hand with another idea I've been tossing around, which it sounds like you are already thinking of handling.
I was just thinking about how to handle having alternate versions of a page/strip at once. For instance, maybe you offer a black and white version and a color version of each page. Or maybe you have one page that you came up with a few different punchlines for, so you display one as your main, but set up an alternate page that could be switched to with a different punchline or some other random change that you didn't necessarily want to be part of your main story, but it works as a funny/weird alternative.
