Just wondering if anyone has used a plugin to allow users to have their comic strip emailed to them, with the comic strip included in the email?
I've tried Subscribe2 but the comic strip is not included in the email. I haven't gotten into the code to figure out if I can hack it and get it added in. Thought I'd at least ask the question first.
TIA!

This is a good idea. I've looked at the plugin you mention, and don't see any hooks by which I can add a comic to the email… I do see a filter that formats the message, but it appears the post data isn't available at the time that filter is called. I'll keep working on it.

Have you tried Feedburner yet?
It's pretty simple to set up, and can send your rss feed, with the comic included either in full size or small scale, to anyone who subscribes. You can see an example of it at http://troubleticketcomic.com

Nice idea… FeedBurner is great, but I didn't know you could subscribe to feeds via email.
TT, can you let us know what code you use to make that FB link on your page?

Sorry for the delay, Holidays…
anyway, the first thing you want to do is link your feed to feedburner. this is just smart anyway because you can make your rss button at the top of your web browser, and all of your site links go to feedburner, and that way if you ever change your feed your fans won't have to do the same. Works great with itunes too.
so after you've made your feedburner feed, log in and select the feed, then click the publicize tab. Over to the left is an option to turn your feed into an e-mail subscribtion. After you set it up, you'll be given cut and paste code to place on your site any way you'd like. It's just a simple ahref link.

Very cool, TT. I think I'll put together a how-to on that. I also found that there's a FeedBurner Subscription Widget plugin for WordPress, which I'm going to go test now.

Just wanted to add my thumbs up for feedburner! I see Brad has it running here on the forum.
(You don't really need the subscription widget as feedburner gives you the code! You can just plug that into a plain text widget.)
