Stripshow upload bug?

Hey I do a daily comic at heymonkey.lasthours.org.uk using stripshow.

I just ran into a rather perplexing bug…

I tried uploading the comic for the 13th December 2007 (2007-12-13.jpg) but it wouldn't load in the bulk import (Options>stripshow>bulk update). Cutting a long story short I eventually got around it by uploading the strip as 2007-12-15.jpg and then editing the post so that it appeared for the 13th.

I'm curious as to why it happened? Its not really a big deal since it hasn't happened before (I've uploaded 160 strips so far). Any thoughts would be great. If its useful I tried uploading using both ASCII and binary via FTP, and the image as both greyscale and RGB.

Also, is there any other way to upload the comic without needing to go to Options>stripshow>bulk update?

Interestingly I just went to recheck on the page and all the different permutations of the file (2007-12-13.jpg) were being represented on the site (there were five strips on the page). So the post was working, just not the bulk updater?

Not really sure I understand the question — Bulk Update doesn't actually upload any strips. It just looks for strips that are already in the proper folder (and named the right way) and creates WordPress blog entries for them… you still need to use an FTP program or other method to get the strips from your computer to your host.

While I don't maintain stripShow for a living, I wouldn't say no to a little donation, if you think the plugin is worth it...
